SEO Detective is a powerful tool, which could help in knowing the performance of any of the website. It even helps in comparing the performance of the competitor's websites. This application needs internet explorer version 5.5 or above.

The functionalities are explained below:

1) About Searching Links:
The SEO Detective helps in retrieving all the possible links (including PDF Links) for the given URL. Also, the search can be done on different levels. This tool, also calculates the Link Popularity, Page Rank etc. for the URL.

2) About Query Google:
Query Google helps in finding if the selected page is indexed and also calculates the rank of that page. For this, you need to check all the checkboxes for which you want to run the Query Google option. Exact Phrase matching option is also provided, which gives the most targeted rank results.

3) About Tools Option :

i) Check All : Select all the searched links
ii) Uncheck All : Unselect all the searched links
iii) Check Top 100 Only : Check all the links whose "rank" is within 100, when Query Search Engine is run.
iv) Invert Checked List : This toggles the status of the check-boxes. Means, all the selected ones becomes unselected and vice-versa.
v) Delete Link(s) : All the checked links will gets deleted.
vi) Quick Settings : Option of selecting/deselecting the facility of "Exact Phrase for Google Queries"
vii) View Log : The log, displayed in bottom, can be viewed in the notepad.
viii) Save Log : Saves log as a text file
ix) Clear Log: Clears the log information.
x) WhoIs Search : Searches WhoIs records, and gives the contact and domain registration information for any webmaster
xi) Summary Report : Provides a concise Report with page rank statistics. Provision for viewing, saving and even email is there.

4) About Google Dance Checker:

This tool checks whether the Google is dancing or not i.e. it tells whether Google is updating their index. Also, the facility of sending the results though mail is provided.

5) About Dueling Sites:

This tool compares two sites with respect to the Link Popularity, Indexed Pages, Page Rank, Alexa Rank. Also, the facility of sending the results though mail is provided.

6) About Trend Statistics:

By Trend Information we mean the information about the Indexed Pages, Link Popularity, Alexa Rank and Page Rank of any website. The Trend Statistics displays all this information about any previous searched website, provided the trend information was saved for it.

For this, after search is completed, trend information has to be saved by clicking on "Tools > Save Trend Info".

This functionality help is comparing the performance of any particular website with respect to time.

The facility of saving the Trend Information in a text file and emailing is also provided.

7) About Other Options:

i) Clear Grid: Clears all the results in the grid along with all the other information.
ii) Save Results: Saves all the searched links with their Page Titles, Level and Rank (if any) in a text file, which can be retrieved in the application.
iii) Save Selected Results : Saves only the selected Results i.e. the one with checked check-box in a text file, which can be retrieved in the application.
iv) Open Results: Loads the results which were saved earlier.
v) Print : Prints the results.
vi) CSV Export : Exports the results as ".csv"
vii) Quick Settings : Option of selecting/deselecting the facility of "Exact Phrase for Google Queries"
